At Periyava Illam:
  • Daily evening Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam
  • Divya Namasankeerthanam on auspicious days
  • Vishnu Sahasranama Laksharchanai on a Purattasi Saturday
  • Kuthu Vilakku Puja during Navarathri days
  • Annual Sri Radha Kalyanam
  • Sri Seetha Kalyanam once in two years
  • Sri Chandi Homam once in two years
  • Samashti Sahasra Gayatri Homam on first Sunday of every month
  • Gayatri Sahasranama puja every 4 years
  • Monthly Anusham day puja and Anna Dhanam
  • Online classes for Sriman Narayaneeyam, Sri Devi Bhagavatham and Srimad Bhagavatham and periodically doing parayanam.
  • Conducting Veda parayanam and also inter Veda Patasala vedic competition
Other Activities
  • Participate in Inter Veda Patasala Vedic competitions periodically
  • Free Library at Periyava Illam with more than 3000 books for the benefit of the public
  • Participating in the welfare activities of other similar organisations promoting Sanathana Dharma
  • Extending financial support to the deserving needy persons irrespective of caste, creed or religion for their education, medical treatment and marriage etc. Organising blood donation as and when required.
  • Helping deserving candidates in getting employment
  • Free Sanskrit Classes for children and elders.
  • Free Sandhyavandhanam classes for boys after their upanayanam.
  • Annual Bhikshavandhanam to Sri Sankaracharyas of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam
  • Annual Sadhu Bhojanam at Kashi on Yathi Mahalayam day.

Publications:

  • Publish and reprint books as directed by Kanchi Sankaracharya
  • We have published a book of Maha Periyava’s sayings and photos “Arul Mugam 50 Arul Amudham 50” in Tamil and “Divine Faces 50 Divine Nectar 50” in English in 1994. Released by Chief Minister of Assam in 1994.
  • This was subsequently translated in to Hindi, Sindhi, Bengali, Russian, Mandarin, Japanese and German languages
  • Another book of sayings of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal and Slokas for daily chanting “Arul Manigal 50 Arul Thuthigal 50” in Tamil was published by us and released by Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal in 2004 when he visited our Periyava Illam.
  • Our Trustee Shri. G.N. Murthy wrote in English “Sandhyavandanam” and the same was published by our trust.
  • Further as directed by Sri Bala Periyava from time to time, we have reprinted many books for free distribution.
  • We have been distributing free CDs of Yajur Veda Sandhyavandhanam rendered by Late Sri Angarai Krishnamurthi Ganapatigal to those boys who get their upanayanam done so that they can learn Sandhyavandanam properly.

  • We have also published a collection of 100 poems on Maha Periyava written by Smt. Indhumathi Iyer, USA  ( sister of our Trustee Shri. R. Sureshram ) in the Book “ Karunai Kadalil Kidaiththa Kavidhai Muthukkal” and it was released by Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal

  • As a part of our Trust’s Silver Jubilee year celebration, published a book in Tamil “Sri Adi Sankararin Arpudha saritham” written by Sri. L. Subramanian, one of our Periyava Illam Devotee and got it released by Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam jagadguru Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal, at Orikkai, on 10.9.2024, on our 100th Anusham puja day.
