Veda Patasala (Krishna Yajur Vedam)

Ever since veda patasala started on 25th Sept 1999, during the past 25 years, 58 students had joined the Veda Patasala. Out of this, 7 students completed the full courses of Krama Paatam and Gana paatam and 10 students completed Krama paatam respectively and they are currently leading Sanathana Dharmic life as Vedic Pundits. During this year, in August 2025, four students are going to complete their Krama Paatam and receive certificates from sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal, Sankaracharaya of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.

Our Veda Patasala students appear for examinations conducted by Veda Rakshana Nidhi Trust annually and on completion of their respective courses, receive their certificates from Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.

Further, they participate in various vedic examinations and competitions of other organisations like Sri Avadoota Datta Peetam Ganapathi Satchithananda Ashram, Mysore Sri Sringeri Peetam, Sringeri and OM Charitable Trust, Chennai etc.

During their stay in the Veda Patasala, students are provided with free accommodation, food, dress and other requirements by the Trust.

Sethalapathi V Subramania Ganapatigal
Brahmashri Sethalapathi V. Subramania Ganapatigal

Brahmashri Sethalapathi  Subramania Ganapatigal imparts vedic lessons to our Veda Patasala children. He studied in the traditional Gurukula style Kramanatham at Tiruvidaimarudur under Kulapathi Brahmasri Sreenivasa ganapatigal and then Jadai, Ganam, Lakshanam, Kavyam, Varna Kramam, Veda Bhashya Pravesam etc. under Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Asthana Vidwan Brahmasri Ramaswamy Sarma. He has been teaching Veda Patasala children for over 20 years and had given it to us Kramapatigals and Ganapatigals.

He had secured many awards including Veda Nidhi Thilagam from various organisations and Guru Seva Award and Best Vedic Adhyapak Award from Kanchi Sankara Mutt respectively.

He had participated and won many vedic competitions and remained as judge in many Kalvaitha varam competitions. He is also serving as Supervisor for Chennai under the TTD scheme of veda parayanam in temples. He is with our Trust since inception.

He had brought out 6 Ganapatigals and 9 Kramapatigals in our Veda Patasala. He is married and having a son who is also undergoing Niyamadhyayanam at home besides attending a CBSE school for academic studies. He is one of those most Sought Vedic vidwans for Kanchi Sankara Mutt.
